This month's luncheon was held at the lovely Airlie Cove "Cookhouse". Organised by member Craig Turner, the Cookhouse is located in a bush setting at the back of the resort. Ideal for groups large and small, it was ideal for the 20 odd members in attendence.
Robust discussion ensued over a lovely lunch of either Salmon or Lamb Medallions. The writer had the opportunity to delight with the Lamb on a bed of sweet potato mash and accompanying fresh salad.
Including leading local business people, key local political figures and guests, discussion included the desire to inform more local tourism people about the benefits of being a member of Skal. Discussion also focused on the excellent offer to get to Europe for the November conference through Skal membership, with the business class fare discounted many thousands of dollars.
The meeting broke up over the last glasses of wine and delicious cheese platters.
Thanks should be recorded for the tireless efforts of Katrina in organising, and Airlie Cove Cookhouse.
